Reno, Nevada (July 23, 2018) — The City of Reno will host the second annual Fiesta (known as Fiesta Latin@ last year) event on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wingfield Park in downtown Reno.

Changüí Majadero, a five-piece Cuban band out of L.A., will headline the event. Throughout the day local mariachi, a flamenco guitarist and salsa dance troupes offering dance lessons will fill Wingfield Park with cultural and artistic activity. In addition, the event will feature unique artists booths, family-friendly artistic activities and local food trucks.

Reno City Councilmember Oscar Delgado initiated the community event in 2017 as another opportunity to celebrate Reno’s thriving arts and culture scene, and to recognize Hispanic Heritage Month.

“Fiesta is a time to celebrate the cultural diversity that makes Reno such a wonderful place to live,” Delgado said. “We invite everyone to come out for some great food, live music and lots of family-oriented activities.”

The City of Reno is looking for interested vendors to join Fiesta. For more information about the event, visit Reno.gov/SpecialEvents.
